COB-A-THON charity events...

So, what is a COB-A-THON, exactly?

A COB-A-THON  is a learning & fundraising experience hosted by ECO-LABOR-ATION, a nonprofit organization that promotes public awareness of a variety of ecologically-sustainable lifestyle choices through its forums, hands-on workshops, public exhibitions and charitable constructions.

During a COB-A-THON, participants put their hands (and often THEIR FEET !) into the mix of natural building materials such as Cob or Strawbale, Earthbags or SuperAdobe and, when they are finished, they will have contributed to the completion of a public relaxing-bench, shelter for a needy family or other charitable construction.  COB-A-THONs are a great way for your group or team to get outdoors, revive their spirit and accomplish something for charity & the environment all at the same time!

ECO-LABOR-ATION also organizes COB-A-THON events in-partnership with other nonprofits in order to help train their members in natural building techniques or when they are attempting to supplement their facilities with an ecological construction. 

Rather than scheduling another predictable Team-Building or 'creative-thinking' experience, why not sponsor a "Creative-DOING event" for your group that will elevate their sense of community involvement, environmental awareness & enjoyment of the outdoors?  A surefire way to combat team burn-out or the office doldrums in a meaningful way!

The itinerary for each COB-A-THON is designed to uniquely fit the group involved.  We will work with you to finalize the event details based on the number of intended participants, event duration, and charitable target.  A great kick-off activity if your organization is adopting an environmental mission statement or increasing its charitable outreach programs.
